Do you have difficulty reaching the heart of those you serve? Has the pain and trauma they endured built walls around them that keep you out? Everyone communicates but few connect. This one-day seminar is the one event that will lay out very practical, yet heart-centered strategies to empower you to communicate and connect in a way that fosters real, positive and lasting change with the youth you work with.
It's no secret that many of today’s youth you serve have been drowning in stress, have increased levels of anxiety due to trauma and are feeling hopeless at a younger age than we’ve ever seen before. We are also seeing the highest rate of mental health challenges and depression than ever before. It has never been more important to emphasize the importance of developing grit and coping skills that is designed to meet youth where they are today.
Utilizing SAMHSA's (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) six key principles of a trauma-informed approach and trauma-specific interventions, this event will address trauma’s consequences and facilitate healing. This engaging presentation infuses personal stories while teaching practical strategies that provide the coping skills youth desperately need today, to build a healthy self-image, a resilient spirit and not live in the mistakes and misfortunes of their past.
